Grocery pick-ups, same day product delivery, and streamlined exercise programs...all things that are designed to help make our lives easier. Telemedicine, and more specifically, telecounseling and consulting has grown exponentially in the last 10 years. With the technology advances of today, there are many advantages of working with a counselor who is available via video conferencing and phone calls. Here are some important aspects of telecounseling to consider: 

1. Convenience: Instead of battling traffic to frantically make it to a face to face appointment, telecounseling allows for you to meet and work with your counselor or consultant from anywhere you’re comfortable. Home, lunch break at work, travels, etc. And when it comes to technology, most smart phones or laptops equipped with a camera will easily connect you via video link. 
   
2. Flexibility: Telecounseling is a great way for counselors to offer flexible hours rather than the traditional 9:00-5:00 office hours. Imagine being able to invest in yourself on your time and schedule without having to “catch up” on work after hours!
   
3. Competent expertise: Just because we’re connected over video, doesn’t mean you’re not getting all of the expertise that an in-person appointment can get you. The method of counseling can vary, but the quality should not.
